TCHD Digital Video Technology Development (Beijing) Ltd is a Beijing-registered manufacturer of video software and hardware, established in 2005 and based in the Haidian district of Beijing. The company operates a 10,000 m² production facility, employs approximately 50 staff, maintains a research and development team of 10 engineers and reports an annual production output of 4,000 units. It exports approximately 20 percent of its output, with principal markets in the European Union, the United States and Asia.

Its product scope spans live streaming cameras, video capture cards, video converters, video encoders and video switchers, alongside system-level application packages for virtual studios, online live streaming, educational recording systems, conference live streaming equipment and streaming media servers. Switcher hardware is the company's most directly relevant line for this review.

4K and 12G-SDI tier. The TCHD-812 Ultra is a live stream switcher built on an industrial embedded FPGA architecture, equipped with a 17.3-inch full HD screen, 4×12G-SDI and 1×HDMI high-bandwidth inputs, and support for 4K at 60 Hz alongside 1080p and 1080i frame rates. It carries dual hot-swappable SSD slots with optional 2TB, 4TB or 8TB capacity, supporting 4K H.265 and HD H.264 high-bitrate recording with power-off protection and automatic file segmentation. The TCHD-840 Super supports 2160p at 60, 59.94, 50, 30, 29.97 and 25 Hz, 1080p up to 60 Hz and 1080i at 60 and 50 Hz, with 1-2-3-4 window PIP templates configurable through the web interface and touchscreen. The TCHD-840 Pro takes the hybrid route, accepting four-channel 4K HDMI and NDI input in 1×4K60, 2×4K30 and 4×1080p decoding modes, with H.264 and H.265 hardware encoding, RTMP, RTMPS, SRT, UDP, RTP, HLS and WHIP protocol support, four independent platform targets, 3.5 mm audio input and output, audio delay tuning from 0 to 10000 ms, and more than 36 transition effects.

HD and multi-format tier. The TCHD-890HS is classified as a multi-camera live production switcher and an e-commerce livestreaming switcher. It provides eight video input channels comprising 4× HDMI and 4× SDI inputs, supporting 720p, 1080p and 1080i HD formats. Outputs include 1× HDMI 1.4 (PGM plus Multiview), 1× SDI PGM, a UVC USB-A output, a 1000 Mbps RJ45 LAN port and a Tally interface. It supports up to six simultaneous streaming outputs — four customisable stream addresses, one NDI stream and one NVI stream — and can receive up to eight streaming sources over RTMP, RTSP, HLS, FLV, UDP, NDI and NVI. A 10-channel audio mixer with independent channel gain control operates at a 48 kHz sampling rate with AAC encoding and analog input delay adjustable up to 2000 ms. The TCHD-810 Pro covers a similar HD remit with 4 HDMI ports, two of which support 4K at 60 Hz input, plus 4 SDI ports and one USB auxiliary input for five channels in total. It carries a 10.1-inch full HD screen, eight layers of PGM overlay, two freely croppable and scalable PIP windows, more than 30 transition effects, chroma and luminance keying, and PTZ control for up to four cameras.

Control and camera tier. The TC-UV08 is a slow-motion playback keyboard switcher classified as a broadcast control panel. It uses 42 dual-colour crystal keys and eight multi-function shortcut keys with broadcast-grade A/B multi-camera switching, a third-generation damping search knob and a photoelectric T-bar for stepless playback speed adjustment, plus dedicated −5s, −10s and −20s mark buttons. It communicates over MIDI, USB, RS232 and LAN, and is stated as compatible with vMix, FairPlay and TCLiveSP.
