Iran Reports Stable Power Grid After Recent Outages

(MENAFN) Iran’s deputy energy minister stated on Monday that the nation’s power grid is now stable and that recent outages in Tehran and Alborz have been resolved, as reported by local news outlets.

The statement comes after power disruptions were reported on Sunday in several areas, including Tehran and the northern city of Alborz, following US and Israeli strikes targeting Iran’s electricity infrastructure.

The region has remained on high alert since February 28, when the US and Israel launched an air offensive against Iran, reportedly killing more than 1,340 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Tehran has carried out drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, according to reports.
