Israel Intercepts Missile from Yemen
“After sirens went off in various parts of the country, the Air Force neutralized a missile launched from Yemen,” the military stated in a briefing.
No further details regarding the attack were provided, and Yemen’s Houthi group, which is engaged in a conflict with Israel, has not issued any comment.
According to the Houthis, at least 35 people were killed and 131 wounded when Israeli warplanes carried out airstrikes on several locations in Yemen on Wednesday.
The Israeli army asserted that its strikes targeted Houthi military positions in the capital, Sanaa, and in Al-Jawf governorate.
The military said that fighter jets hit Houthi camps, the Houthi military’s public relations center, and a fuel storage facility.
The Iran-backed Houthis have been launching missiles and drones toward Israel in retaliation for ongoing Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip and are also targeting ships associated with Israel.
